My wife is a descendant of Richard Ascah. Her father Royce and her aunt were the last of her family to be born in Peninsula. We are planning to visit Gaspe after Easter to visit St. Matthews and the site of Richard's home. Not sure whether her grandfather and great-grandfather's homes were torn down. Looking for a contact in the area that might be willing to meet with us, perhaps even a relative. I appreciate the help.
