Looking for info on James Bendwell, born November 28, 1851 in New Richmond. Married to Anastasie Moses or Moises. Especially interested in any record of his parents. Also, I have been told in that time frame many Native births were recorded as "black". Can anyone verify that? Thanks. I am told I have Native heritage but would like to document it.
