In answer to question :
Hi there, Im searhcing for my ancestor Michael Manderville ( there may not have been an r in his last name at that time), All I know is that something happened to him & his wife ? Currie ( possibly Elizabeth) in the latter part of the 1840's as all children were adopted out at a very young age. Someone had found a court doc form 1847 in the Gaspe with a. Michael Mandeville on it but I don't know where to search for anything else with regards to him there...if he was sentenced to jail or deportation/transportation to somewhere else how do I find that information? We heard he came from Ireland, but can not find what port he came into, where buried, etc, no information to be able to trace back to Ireland either, however I do see our name speeeld without the r in it there....Our family have been searhcng for years and can not find him, my uncle is now dying at age 86 and I would love to find him before he passes as he did most of the searching for many years. Any help is greatly welcomed and appreciated, thank you so much! Karen
