IMG_7985 - Back from our tour of Rila, it was a nice afternoon to explore the area we previously saw with the local guide.

IMG_7987 - This pedestrian overpass goes from the Hilton to the Palace of Culture, Vitosha Blvd, and on to the Banya Basha Mosque.

IMG_7993 - The Banya Bashi Mosque was built in 1567, financed by Seyfullah Efendi Camii in memory of his late wife.

IMG_7994 - The Central Mineral Baths. Sofia was inhabited in 7,000 BC and developed due to its hot (up to 103°C) springs.

IMG_7996 - Back to the Banya Bashi Mosque. The name means "many baths" and it is built over many natural steam vents.

IMG_7998 - In a mosque everyone must remove their shoes. Women must cover hair, arms, and legs.
