IMG_9657 - On the fortified bridge, bridgekeepers or "mostari", collected tolls on traffic and goods moving along the trade route.
IMG_9660 - The famous Stari Most, for which Mostar is named. In 1566 a stone bridge replaced the original wooden suspension bridge.

IMG_9666 - Many war-damaged buildings have been repaired or replaced, but not all.
IMG_9669 - Look "way up", to the Jubilee Cross on Hum Hill on the western, predominantly Christian Croatian, side of the city.
IMG_9671 - This stone stairway leads down to a boat landing on the river. Apparently there is another on the other side.
