IMG_1271 - Buda Castle was first completed on Gellért Hill in 1265, followed by over 700 years of destruction and reconstruction.
IMG_1272 - This first part of the Várkert Bazár was intended to be a shopping and entertainment centre, but that did not happen.
IMG_1273 - Also known as the Castle Garden Bazaar, these cultural centers, Kreativ haz, extend to the Chain Bridge.

IMG_1279 - This Buda Castle tunnel takes traffic from the end of the Chain Bridge up to the Castle. It is a popular filming location.
IMG_1287 - The Fisherman's Bastion (Halaszbastya) has seven towers, for the 7 Magyar tribes who formed Hungary in AD 895.
IMG_1288 - In 1895 this old fortification, Fisherman's Bastion, was built into a viewing terrace for the Budapest millennium.
IMG_1294 - Up behind the Fisherman's Bastion. These buildings were once a monastery and the square was a fruit market.
