Nicole Metallic:

Recent Employment:   Nicole is an English teacher at the Alaqsiet'w Gitpu School in Listuguj for grades three to eight.

Community Involvement:   •  She also teaches a women's boxing class three times a week just for fun, and volunteers with a youth group that her sister coordinates. •  "In the summer of 2006 I trained with three women who cycled from Vancouver to Newfoundland in the cross-Canada tour entitled Aboriginal Women on the Move, a cycling campaign to end family violence."

Other Interests:  

•  Nicole recently got married on July 8, 2006 to Dwayne Ward.

• "I weight-train and I like to snow-board. In the summertime I like to swim and go camping. My sister and I, along with our families, usually do a week-end canoe trip on the Restigouche River every summer."
