York/Wakeham 2004/11/17 by Heather Patterson We would like to wish a happy belated birthday to Mrs. Eleanor Fournier McKoy who celebrated her 85th birthday on November 5th. Also to Janice Syvret, Pearl Palmer and Glenn Miller who celebrated on November 2nd. Tony & Marilyn Coull Maloney came from Edmonton recently, to visit Tony’s sister, Wanda, husband Dale Miller and daughter Dawn, Heather and Dean Patterson and Marilyn’s family, Edgar and Phyllis Coull, Gilbert and Elaine Coull and sister, Carol. Dean Maloney and wife, Robin and their two children from Edmonton are in Gaspe visiting with Dean’s sisters Wanda and Heather and their husbands, Dale Miller and Dean Patterson. We hope they have a nice visit and enjoy the beautiful Gaspe. Happy Birthday wishes going out to Dawn Miller of Sunny Bank who will be 28 on November 27th Also celebrating their birthdays on the 27th are Marguerite Palmer and Frankie Patterson of Wakeham. Happy Birthday to Charlene Eden of Gaspe who celebrates her birthday on November 17th. Also to Linda Patterson of Regina, Saskatchewan who will be celebrating her birthday on November 19th. Birthday wishes also go out to David Boyle of Port Colborne whose birthday is on November 20th. We were saddened to hear the news of Albert Simoneau of Douglastown who recently passed away on October 20th in Laval , Quebec undergoing heart surgery. He leaves to mourn his wife, Carmel and three children, Kevin, Melvin and Sonia and families. We extend our condolences. Mr. Joseph Howell of Sandy Beach, passed away on November 9th. His funeral service took place in Douglastown on November 11th. Condolences go out to his family, Terry who lives in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Helen of Wakeham , Cathy of Gaspe and Sharon who lives in British Columbia. Deepest sympathy goes out to Adair Mullin and her family. Her husband, Teddy Suddard, originally of Sandy Beach passed away on November 10th. We would like to wish a speedy recovery to Mr. Harris Eden and Mr. Joe Paterson of Wakeham who are in the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Gaspe. Mr. Patterson’s son, Charles from Burlington, Ontario and son Shawn are home to spend some time with him. The Christmas church sales are in full swing. Sandy Beach ACW sale was held in Sandy Beach church hall on October 30th. Wakeham ACW held theirs at St.Paul’s Church, Gaspe on November 06. Both sales were a tremendous success. Upcoming sales are: Haldimand ACW to be held on November 13th , York ACW to be held on November 20th 13th, Peninsula ACW on November 27th and Friends of St.Paul’s on December 4th. Congratulations to all the hard working members who make these sales such a success. Congratulations to Brent Rooney and Jodie Latour of St. Eustache on the birth of a baby daughter, Kylie Marie, born on November 8th, weighing 8 lbs 9 oz. The proud grandparents are Earle and Sheila Rooney of Wakeham.

York/Wakeham 2004/10/30 by Heather Patterson Belated happy 65th Birthday wishes go out to Elaine and Albert Patterson who celebrated on August 4th and October 3rd and to Marketha Letemplier who celebrated her 50th birthday on October 5th. Wanda Miller is back in her home in Gaspe after spending a lengthy time in the deMaisoneuve Rosemont Hospital in Montreal. Her brother Dallas and wife Liz and brother Pat and Margaret from Edmonton came to welcome their sister back home. We want to wish Wanda and her family all our best. While Pat was in Gaspe he reunited, after 28 years, with his best man and old friend, Bazil and his wife Kay Ste Croix who was a bridesmaid at Pat and Margaret’s wedding. They live in St. Catherines, Ontario .They came to Gaspe to visit his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Jerome Rooney of Douglastown and her mother Mrs. Ste. Croix who lives in Barachois. Congratulations to Fred and Marilyn Sams on their 30th wedding Anniversary on October 14th. They went to Ottawa to visit their son Jason and wife Melissa and grandson, Andrew. While in Ottawa they visited Marilyn’s sister Gwen McCallum and her daughter, Nancy, husband Doug and boys. The family of Mrs. Hildred Eden Patterson celebrated an early 95th birthday on Saturday, October 23rd at the home of her son Dean and wife Heather. Her two daughters came for this happy occasion – Eileen from Cambridge and Debby from Ottawa. Her niece, Joyce Patterson from Montreal was also home for her party. Mrs. Patterson’s birthday is on December 11th. Patrick and Clothilda Smith and daughter, Nina, went to Ottawa for Thanksgiving and visited their niece Kelly Williams and other relatives. Joanie Grant and Roger Langlais are proud parents of a beautiful baby boy, Brandon James, who was born on October 17th. Proud grandparents are Neil and Stella Grant of York. James (Jamie) Grant, brother of Joanie, is home visiting his parents and friends. He lives in Fort St. John and has been home for a couple of weeks. Nancy Grant, daughter of Neil and the late Lois Grant of York came home to Gaspe to visit with her father and wife, Stella Grant and family and friends. Nancy lives in British Columbia and has written and published a book on diabetes and has been invited to give an exposition in Montreal on her book. Her family in Gaspe are proud of her accomplishments. Moose hunting is all over with for this year. More moose were reported in the Gaspe this year than last. Congratulations to all the lucky hunters. Congratulations to Billy and Lorraine Sams who were recently married. They went to Niagara Falls for their honeymoon. We hope you have many more years together. Happy belated birthday wishes go out to Graham McDonald of Gaspe who celebrated his 86th on October 28th. He received many good wishes and phone calls as far away as Victoria, B.C. Congratulations to Christopher Miller and his wife, Samantha Sculley of Toronto on the birth of their first child, a bouncing baby boy, Charlie, who was born on October 13th . Chris is the son of Blair and Faye Miller formerly of Gaspe. Charlie is a great grandson for Mrs. Ruby Miller of Sandy Beach and Mrs. Hazel Patterson of York. We would like to wish Mr. Joe Patterson of Wakeham a very happy 98th birthday on November 16th. Dale Dumaresq and his friend, Guylaine, came home from Sherbrooke on Labour Day weekend to help celebrate his mother, Vernice Dumaresq’s 59th birthday. Belated happy birthday wishes, Vernice. Our sympathies go out to the family of Emiliene Lapierre Sylvestre of Gaspe who passed away at the Hotel Dieu on October 20th.

York/Wakeham 2004/10/01 by Heather Patterson Happy birthday wishes go out to Albert Patterson, who will be 65 years young on Oct. 3. Also to Marketha Letemplier whose birthday is on Oct. 5. October is here and the fantastic weather is still like summer. We still have a number of people in town enjoying Gaspe with all its beauty. Billy Boyle has spent most of his summer in the old homestead in Wakeham and will return to Mississauga sometime this month. Pauline and Erskine Patterson are still in the summer home in Sunny Bank. They will be returning to London, Ontario in the near future. Caroline Mullin, daughter of Lewis and Christine Beebe Mullin and Kerrilee Drohan daughter of Pat and Colleen Drohan are attending Bishops University. Crystal Miller, daughter of Dale and Wanda Miller is attending the University of Ottawa this year. We wish them a. successful year. Congratulations go out to Michelle Frenette, daughter of Judy McWhirter and Yvan Frenette of Wakeham and Martin Boulay who were married on August 21st. Both the marriage and reception were held in St. Maurice. Mrs. Greta Fournier will be 89 years old on the 26th of October. We hope she has a very Happy Birthday and a healthy year. She recently had a lovely visit with her daughter-in-law, Lynne Fournier from Montreal. Mrs. Ada Miller, who is residing in the Sanitorium Ross, celebrated her 95th birthday on September 21st. It is nice to see her looking so young. Her son, Denzil and his wife, Lise from Quebec City came to Gaspe to visit her and family. Happy belated 60th going out to Frances Miller McVeigh. She is the daughter of the late Elvin Miller and Iris Patterson, and sister to Dennis Miller of Sunny Bank. Frances and and her husband, Michael and son, Christopher live in Bathurst while their daughter, Lisa lives in Montreal. Our best wishes to you, Frances, from your Gaspe friends. Very special birthday wishes go out to Mrs. Emilien Lapierre Sylvestre of Gaspe who will celebrate her 80th on October 8th. We wish her a happy and healthy year. Belated 60th anniversary wishes go out to George and Neva Paul of Haldimand who celebrated with their family during the first week of August by holding a family reunion at Camp Fort Haldimand. Their children, Merina, Liz, Geraldine, Gary ,Bobby and families came home for this joyous occasion. We wish a speedy recovery to Vera Simon of Sandy Beach who is in Chandler undergoing hip surgery. Hope you are soon up and around. Our sympathies go out to the families of Loretta Patterson Alexander who passed away on September 22nd in Montreal. She was the wife of the late Robert (Bob) Alexander of Sandy Beach, and has three children, Roger, David and Bridget She was a sister to Howard, Wayne, Joyce, and Beverly. Berton and Dolores Miller of Wakeham have recently returned home after motoring to Lethbridge, Alberta to visit their daughter, Vicky, husband Wayne Roberts and children Patti and David. On their way home they stopped in Ottawa to visit their son, Danny, wife, Cathy and son, Jordan. They had a wonderful holiday. Marguerite and Dennis Palmer, also of Wakeham also had a wonderful holiday by flying west to visit their son, Tony, wife Agnes and boys Jonathan and Brian in Calgary. While in the area they visited Stettler and spent time with Scott, Maggie and Maria Miller and Michael and Jacinta Donovan. They had a lovely visit and holiday. Kevin and Maria Gillis from Edmonton, Alberta are home visiting with his parents, Carl and Ella Gillis of Wakeham. Also their son, Gene, and wife Doreen Gillis have returned home to Montreal after spending their summer in Wakeham. Looking forward to seeing you back next year. Fred Sams of Gaspe, at the age of 87, participated in the Terry Fox Run again this year and raised $2400 for this worthy cause. Way to go Mr. Sams! The walk was organized once again by Darlene Adams Williams for the 23rd year. Wilson Patterson of L’Anse Aux Cousins recently returned from a great visit with his daughter, Natalie and son, Lowell and his family in Ontario. Debbie Patterson of Sunny Bank recently flew to British Columbia to visit her sister and family. She had a great vacation. Welcome home to Trent Langlois and Lisa Jean from Burlington, who have recently moved home to Sunny Bank It is always nice to see young couples moving back to Gaspe. Good luck in your new environment. Hartley Stewart recently underwent knee surgery on September 23rd. We wish him a speedy recovery.

York/Wakeham 2004/09/19 by Heather Patterson Our summer visitors are dwindling but we do have a few that are still with us enjoying this wonderful September weather. Beth Patterson is home again to spend a month with her father, Mr. Joe Patterson and sister Kay and husband Eric Coffin of Wakeham. Corey Bechervaise, and friend, Margaret and her two children are home visiting Corey’s mother and father, Ross and Ivy Bechervaise of Wakeham. Nona and Bill Burness of Trenton are visiting with Nona’s sister, Betty Stanley of L’Anse Aux Cousins for a month or so. We would to extend best wishes to Wanda Miller, who is in the de Maisoneuve Rosemont Hospital in Montreal recuperating from a hip replacement this past week. She has been undergoing testing for the past six weeks. Your friends in Gaspe are thinking of you. Scott Miller, Maggie Annett and daughter Maria have moved to Stettler, Alberta. We will all miss them, but wish them well in their new adventure. Scott was the former owner of Wakeham Service Station which has now been taken over by Mr. Raynald Bernier. Maggie was employed by TD Canada Trust and has been transferred to a branch in Stettler. Our condolences go out to the family of Mr. Henri Morin of Gaspe who passed away in early September. Funeral services took place at the Cathedral in Gaspe on September 11th. We also extend deepest sympathy to the family of Tony O’Brien who passed away in Quebec City in early September Funeral services were held in Cap-Aux-Os on September 10th Tony’s aunt, Edie Coffin and her daughter, Bonnie Scarboro of Nackawic, New Brunswick, came to attend the funeral. Wayne and Elaine Adams have returned from a visit with their daughter, Tasha, in Victoria, B.C. Tasha is with the RCMP. They also visited their other daughter, Donalyn in Chateguay. Heather and Dean took their grandchildren, Chelsea and Christian back home to Montreal. They spent the summer with their grandparents in Sunny Bank. Stefanie and Marco have moved into their new home. Congratulations and Best Wishes in your new home, Stefanie and Marco. Happy 50th Anniversary goes out to Wesley Boyle and Arlene Patterson who live in Pointe Claire. A party was held in Pointe Claire on the 28th of August.. Their children, Vickie and family from Edmonton, Alberta, Randy, wife and family from Barrie and Ivy and family from Pointe Claire helped to celebrate this happy occasion. Debbie and Andy Patterson and Marjorie and Earle Coffin from Gaspe attended along with many other family and friends. We wish Danny Jones from Cape Cod good wishes while he is undergoing treatment. Arthur Boyle from London, has been home visiting with his niece, Linda Annett and her husband, Wayne Miller and other family members. Also Linda’s sister, Emily and husband, Jacinto Diaz from Florida are home for a couple of months. Mrs. Ellen Clark is celebrating her 92nd Birthday on September 18. Happy 92 years young, Mrs. Clark. Her sister, Una Mullin celebrated her 96th on August 31st as well as her brother, Mr. Joe Patterson of Sandy Beach who was 94. He has been visiting his daughter, Martha and family in Ottawa and attended his sister-in-law’s funeral in Portland, Maine. Coreen and Lon Mullin of Unionville, Ontario are home visiting their parents, Mrs. Ralph Patterson and Mr & Mrs. Harris Mullin and families of Wakeham. Mrs.Greta Mullin has been in the hospital this past week. We hope she is feeling much better. Mrs. Dulcie Stewart , formerly of York, is home visiting with her daughter, Pam and husband Keith Spicer of Oakville. She is a remarkable lady of 100 who is still able to fly home to Gaspe and visit her friends and family for two weeks. Her sister, Alma Alexander of Sandy Beach and son Timmy and his wife are home staying at Fort Haldimand for a three week vacation. Nice to see you back in town.

Southern Ontario News 2004/09/01 by Ruth Armstrong The wedding of Kim Patterson,
daughter of Greg & Mariette, and Matt Wainwright took place at Christ
Church in Belleville, Ont, on August 7, 2004, Rev David Wainwright,
grandfather of the groom officiating. One of the bridesmaids was Maureen
Palmer, cousin of the bride. Reception was held at the Greek Hall,
Belleville. The theme of the wedding was medieval and four jesters livened
up the party considerably. A most delicious dinner was served to 130
guests who came from far and near ( Kapuskasing, St. Catherines,
Burlington, Yellowknife, Gaspe, Colorado and England). The next day the
newlyweds opened gifts at the home of Matt's grandparents in Havelock,
Ont.

York/Wakeham 2004/08/19 by Heather Patterson Finally back with some more news, after a busy couple of weeks. Carmel and Albert Simoneau had a wonderful visit with their grandsons, Eric and Graham, and daughter, Sonia, from Ottawa, who spent a month visiting Gaspe and Perce. Here husband, Tim, brought his parents from Burlington for their first visit touring the Gaspe. The Simoneaus had a lovely time at a cottage near Escuminac, owned by Daryl and Lorraine Gray (Sonia’s former elementary school teachers in Murdochville. Derek Patterson and his girfriend, Sarah Havard, from St. Caharines, Ontario were home visiting his mother, Sally Patterson and friends. This was Sarah’s first trip to Gaspe. Darlene(Patterson) and Raynald Sinnett, from St. Catharines were also home visiting family and friends. Vina Patterson Trowsdale of Edmonton, Alberta and her sister, Amelia Clark Pelletier of London, Ontario were once again visiting relatives and friends in Gaspe. They had another wonderful holiday. Marilyn Kennedy, formerly of Douglastown, here mother, Geraldine from Burnaby B.C. came to Gaspe to visit relatives and friends. Adele Kennedy and Lorne Packwood have purchased the family home in Douglastown and are doing renovations. Daryl Patterson and his wife, Brandie Jones and daughter, Madison came from Oshawa to visit their families for their holidays. While Daryl was in Gaspe , his sister, Heather and husband Lowell Patterson of Sunny Bank hosted a family reunion for the Viberts. Brandie’s sister Vicki Jones and her husband Mark and two boys were home from Montreal visiting her mother, Carol Jones and family. Gerry and Donna Phillips and all their family went to Prince Edward Island to spend a week of their summer vacation. They had a great time. Brooke and Ashley Nikolov , daughters of Lorelei and Boris from New Market, Ontario are spending the summer with their grandparents, Larry and Lorna Miller. Lorna’s mother, Mrs. Ellen Clark is also at home in Wakeham . She hopes to spend the fall with Lorna and Larry. It’s nice to see her back in Gaspe. Her son, Leigh and daughters Kay and Marilyn and husband, Don Whaley were also home for a visit. Wendy Patterson, daughter of Dermot and Sadie also accompanied them. Sandy Patterson and Richie Mullin and family of Ottawa were visiting family and friends in Gaspe in early July. Sandy Baird and wife, Louise Thibeault and boys Philip and Malcolm were home visiting their families and friends in Wakeham and Douglastown. Sandy is the son of Lorna and David Baird. Faye and Edith Coffin and friend, Lynne Gaudreault from Montreal visited their mother, Berna Coffin of York for two weeks. While they were home they helped celebrate St. Andrew’s 75th Anniversary by joining in the choir. We had several baptisms in St. Andrew’s Church, York during this celebration. Kevin Jones and Gina Miller had their two children, Mason and Erin Elizabeth baptized on this day and also Paula Jean and Jamie Donovan had their son, Caleb Dale baptized. Congratulations to the young couples. Jaime Assels, daughter of Earl and Krista Assels of Sunny Bank came home for this special occasion. Linda and Archie Patterson are home in Wakeham for the summer months. They will be spending the winter in Regina where their daughter, Tammy, husband Todd and their two sons, Tanner and Ty live. Pauline and Erskine Patterson of London, Ontario are home in their cottage in Sunny Bank for a couple of months. Faye and Blair Miller of Guelph, Ontario are home for two weeks visiting their mothers, Ruby Miller of Sandy Beach and Hazel Patterson Boyle of York and families. Reggie McDonald was home from Kenora visiting his parents Bridget and Graham McDonald of Gaspe for his vacation. Congratulations go out to Sylvia Davis and Elmer Coffin on their recent marriage. They have been visiting in Gaspe for the summer months. Jill Syvret and her friend, Mike from New York were home to visit her parents, Brad and Janice Syvret from Sandy Beach. Brad’s father, Ovelan, was also home for a visit at this time. Chelsea and Christian Solari, daughter and son of Stefanie and Marco Solari of Montreal were home visiting with their grandparents, Dean and Heather Patterson of Sunny Bank for a few weeks. They are always welcomed visitors at their grandparent’s home. Dale Patterson and his wife, Melissa and their two children were home visiting his parents, Andy and Debbie Patterson, also his grandmother, Bessie Patterson and many relatives of Sunny Bank. Belated Happy Birthday wishes go out to Mrs.Frances Kilbride of Gaspe who celebrated her 80th birthday on the 24th of July. They also had a wonderful family reunion at this time. Our condolences go out to the family of Nicole Fournier, wife of Johnny Fournier of Moncton who passed away on July 14th. The burial of ashes was in St. Andrews, York on Saturday, August 14th. Nicole and Johnny have two daughters, Anne and Kim. Johnny is the son of Greta Fournier of Sunny Bank. Our condolences also to the family of Elaine Coffin Jones, wife of Ev Jones who passed away on July 20th at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Gaspe. Funeral services were held at St. Paul’s’ Church, Gaspe, and burial at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, York. Ev and Elaine have three children- Karen, Kevin and Bobby. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Mrs. Evelyn Mullin, wife of the late Warren Mullin, of Wakeham. Funeral services were held on Friday, August 20th in St. James Church, Wakeham. Our sympathy also goes out to the family of Willy Methot of Haldimand, husband of Myrna Suddard, who passed away suddenly on August 16th at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Gaspe. They have two sons, Jason and Joey. Our condolences also to the family of Joanne, wife of Harris Miller who passed away on Aug. 19th at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Gaspe. We have had a lot of welcomed visitors to the Gaspe
this summer. We have mentioned a few but there are many more. We hope
their holiday was great. |

their great family reunion held Sunday July 4th the day after her
Grandson's Casey's wedding, everyone had a great time with lots of fun.
Her Children & Grandchildren came from as far as Australia, Whitehorse,
Saskatoon, & many parts of Ontario & Quebec.
Mrs. Jessie Clark is celebrating her 90th
birthday Aug 1st with an open house at the Senior's in Wakeham, she will
celebrate early as the family will be all here for the burial of
Morris's ashes which will take place July 31st St Andrews York 1pm.

children Kelly, Brandon went to Kitchener Ont. to join the rest of her
family to celebrate her Mother's [grandmother's] 90th birthday 11th
July. Happy Birthday to Mrs. Elsie Robin Thompson from all your Gaspe

he had hip surgery recently, take care Claude from your friends, Michael
& his daughter came to visit his father while in hospital, Michael &
his family live in Quebec.
Suie Mullin just arrived home from Ottawa

grandchildren Alexia & Paris home for a Gaspe holiday, the parents will

wonderful holiday.

York A C W held an afternoon tea & bake
sale with handicrafts July 10th, Rita Palmer Tibideau P E I also made
a children's Quilt for York & all home made was won by Ada Coffin's
granddaughter Rachell Abershera Montreal, 2nd draw another children's
Quilt won by Hilda Dimoch, Hilda also won a utensil holder, Shawn

Vickie Bourdage was married in Quebec City on June 12th, She is the
Daughter of Dr. Raymond Bourdage & Pierette Hotton, & the Granddaughter
of Mrs Lena Bourdage. Congratulations to the Families.

celebrated her 102nd Birthday on June 28th, She is the most remarkable

Paul Patterson & daughter Sara came to Gaspe, to visit Family & friends
from London Ont. for their holiday's. Paul's Grandfather, Mr. Joe
Patterson who is 97 years old & living at his home, Also his Grandmother
Mrs. Hildred Patterson also living at her home at the age of 94
wonderful isn't it. They had a great visit.
Congratulations to Paul & Jackie Spencer on the birth of their daughter,
weighing 7lbs & 2oz, they named her Bo Laney, Jackie is the daughter of
Norman & Judy McCallum [Haldimand] the parents live in Calgary.
Norman & Judy McCallum just arrived home from Calgary where they went to
visit their first granddaughter Bo Laney. Congratulations.
Buddy & Ann Mullin came to visit Gaspe for their holidays from Edson,
Alta . While in Gaspe they visited many old friends, & family.
Kealey Mundle Graduated from the University of Waterloo, Ont. on June
19th, with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Engineering. She will
continue her education at Queens University in Kingston Ont., and take
her Masters there. Kealy was fortunate enough to obtain a grant to do
her Masters. Congratulations Kealy, we are proud you're a Gaspesian. She
is the daughter of Ron Mundle & Cynthia Mc Donald Gaspe.
Garth & Madeline Patterson from Peachland, B C, had a great holiday in
Gaspe this year, it was special their granddaughter Kristin Mccallum
was married on June 26th, Madeline also spent time with her mother, Mrs.
Edie Mullin .
Dave & Michelle Miller from Guelph, Ont. & their daughter Ellen came to
Gaspe to visit family and friends, especially his Grandmother's Mrs.
Ruby Miller & Mrs. Hazel Patterson.
Casey Kennedy & Josie Synnott were married in Douglastown Gaspe on July
3rd. Congratulations to you both, Casey is the son of Bryce Kennedy &
Stella Briand. Josie's parents are Marlene Adams & Pierre Marie Synnott.
Randy Kimlin & his daughter Krysia of 14 came to Gaspe on his motorbike,
from South Carolina to visit his sister Sandra & brother-in-law, George
Hamilton for a few days, then on to Rimouski where his niece Kim &
family live.

family's & friends, also attended the burial of ashes for their Father
Raymond Adams on May 30th in Sandy Beach Church.

Settler, Alta. They will make it their new home there, we will miss

The Quilting group held their annual
meeting on April 26th
at the home of Mrs. Elsie Mullin.
The ladies outdid themselves
once again, completing 9 double,
1single, & 29 children sizes
plus 10 knitted quilts to donate to
Montreal Children's & the
Shriners and other places still
have to be decided on.
A display of their work will be
held at Wakeham Senior's
on June 12th from 2pm to 4pm. Tea
will be served.
Donations will go towards the cost
of fabric & Quilting needs
for future projects.

We were greatly saddened at the
sudden death of the late Mark Morin who died April 3rd at the age of 51
at the
Gaspe Hotel Dieu, He will be sadly
missed by his wife Shirley & daughter Jennifer, and his Mother
Brother & sisters & the Sinnett
Family plus Mark had a great personality, he had so many friends
and they will miss him dearly. We
want to wish the family our deepest sympathy.

McDonald who celebrated his 65 birthday on April 30th also Marilyn

Andy and Debbie Patterson spent Easter in Vermont with Dale, Melissa, Drew and Alexis. They were joined by Kevin and Nyree who live in Kitchener. Then, returning from a 3 week trip down south, Andy underwent emergency surgery in Virginia for a ruptured appendix.

Mr. & Mrs. Courtney Simpson and
their son Brent went to Costa Rica to attend their granddaughter's
wedding. She was married April 17th, [She is Wendy's daughter].
Kent Patterson & his fiancée Angie
Marcantonio won a trip to Florida for 10 days, they will go to Orlando 4
days Daytona Beach 3 days & Fort Lauderdale 3 days they will go on their
honeymoon April 2005. Kent is the son of Sally of Gaspe & Paul of St
Catherines. Kent & Angie live in St Catherines. Kent went to Buffalo to
attend a car show and filled out a ballot and he was the lucky winner,
congratulations.

Trena their two children Christina & Brandon, also her sister Dorothy in
Barry, then they decided to go on to Montreal & celebrate their sister
Mildred Birthday March 22nd they had a wonderful time.
The Mullin Family had a wonderful afternoon celebrating this wonderful
man's Birthday.
Harris Mullin was born on March 25th 80 years ago, His wife Greta &
their two daughters Heather & Lynn & their family's had a great
celebration Sunday 28th at 2pm, A delicious lunch was served everyone

unable to be there, They were in Arizona and couldn't make connections .

Our last Birthday mentioned in Feb issue Mrs. Bessie Patterson it wasn't
our Mrs. Bessie it was a honest mistake. Our Mrs. Bessie will celebrate
in on Sept 5th.
Our Sympathy goes out to the Family of the late Clifton Bechervaise who
passed away Feb 17th at the age of 91, Left to mourn are his children
Marjorie, Gladys, Sandra, Keith, proceeded by his son Murry, & their
family's.
We had a very successful Valentine tea, We call it Nancy's tea She
started this wonderful event many years ago at her home, it has grown
so, they have it at the Seniors Room Wakeham she has many volunteers
helping, They try to Host it on the 14th or the nearest date every year,
this year we were lucky 14th was on Saturday, proceeds go to the Alter
Guild York.
Our Carnival the 34th year was another success, I think this is a good
time to thank every one who participated in any way, without you all it
couldn't be possible, Our President Tony Patterson said he will be
ready for our big one next year, 35 years start thinking
we will need lot's of ideas. Thanks again.
The whole community of Gaspe was saddened at the sudden death of Chester
Gaul Who was suddenly taken Sat 21st on a skidoo accident at the age of
63 years, His funeral service was held in Douglastown Wed 25th, Left to
mourn is his wife Sandra, His children Danny, Michael, Nancy & their
family's, his brother Carl, Sisters Sadie & Laura.& their family's Our
deepest Sympathy to you all.
We send our deepest sympathy out to the family of the late Mr. Warren
Mullin who passed away Feb 23 at C. H. Pavillion Hotel-Dieu at the age
of 90 years. Funeral and burial at St-James in Wakeham, on Feb 28,

Train for a holiday, They all have family there and plan to visit with

Mrs. Gladys Patterson had a wonderful visit with her daughter & her

Congratulations on the Baptism of Sophie Berger on Jan 18th, Sophie is
the daughter of Claude Berger & Pam Patterson and a sister to Emile &
Davey. Her Godparents are Bruce Jones & Lena Duphresene. The ceremony
was held at the Cathedrale Gaspe, a reception followed at the home of
the grandmother Mrs. Georgette Berger.
