Ms. Phillips spent much of her life researching Gaspe history. This book delves into the life of the first member of the Miller family to arrive in Gaspe and outlines his descendants. One of the pioneer settlers in the area, Richard Miller, arrived in the latter part of the 18th century and married Frances Annett of Peninsula. A high percentage of English Gaspesians can claim being descended from Richard, and his descendents are scattered throughout North America.
