IMG_8990 - Up from the Stradun on Zlatarska ul. (Goldsmith Street), is the original district of the jewellery workshops.
IMG_8991 - Prijeko. The main restaurant street. Houses have a well on the ground floor and a kitchen on the top for fire safety.
IMG_8992 - The little Rosario Church, tucked in at the end of Prijeko ul. It was once part of the Dominican monastery complex.
IMG_8994 - The eastern end of the Old Town, leading to the Ploče Gate and out into the community of Ploče
IMG_8995 - The Ploče Gate in the east wall of the old town of Dubrovnik. (For easier reading, Ploče is pronounced Plo'-che.)
IMG_8996 - Back inside and south from the gate, to the Dubrovnik Assumption Roman Catholic Cathedral
IMG_8997 - The Rector's Palace next door to the cathedral
IMG_8998 - Having walked the wall in 2018, at 10:25 (see the digital display below the "Octopus" clock), I went out the Ploče Gate.
IMG_8999 - From the Ploče Gate I walked up and across Jadranska cesta, the road across the top of town, and back down.
IMG_9000 - This stepped street, Ulica Lukše Beritića, goes up the hill almost to the top of the town.
IMG_9001 - In 1991-2 this whole hillside area was badly shelled, but has been rebuilt since then, and is growing.
